My kitchen ABC
Have you come across any words in my recipes that you don't know? Chefs use special terms for many things. I will explain the most important ones for you here. Then you can learn not only to cook but also the "language of the kitchen"!

Pass through a fine sieve; this is how you make, for example, vegetable soup from boiled vegetables.
If you are told to add a pinch of salt or spices to a dish then this is a very, very small amount; just as much as you can hold between your thumb and index finger.
This is where you use a mixer to turn something into a fine mash; you have probably heard of mashed potatoes, however fruit and vegetables are also often pureed.
